Choosing a real estate firm seems like an easy proposition; there are many to choose from, they all charge about the same commission, and you might even have a friend or family member that is an agent. You think it doesn’t matter, it will all work out; and it might. We would like you to think about a few things.

The goal is to sell as quickly as possible at the highest possible price. To do that your property has to be marketed multiple ways; it has to look good; it has to be priced at market value.

Marketing: We will list your property in the Yancey/Mitchell MLS and Canopy MLS which covers around 30 counties from Charlotte to Asheville. Some of our competitors use just one or the other. The MLS service puts your property in front of any buyer using Zillow, and many more real estate search sites. We also use social media such as Facebook and Instagram to market your property.

Photography: We believe in clear, accurate photos of your property. We strive to lighten up the dark corners but not alter/enhance so much that your property in unrecognizable. We will also use drone photography when possible. Photography can make a big difference when the goal is to get a buyer to come take a look.

Office: We have an easily accessible office in downtown Spruce Pine where you can come meet us. Buyers can also meet here and see pictures of your listing on display in our street front picture windows. Seems like a simple thing we know, but some firms are going online only and this does not feel quite right for us.

Local Real Estate magazine: Yes we still buy ad space in the local real estate magazine. Granted, this tool is used less and less as most buyers use the internet on their phones, but we still provide this service for you
